Tehzip means 'the art of illumination' - an appealing decorative art form used to adorn books, calligraphy and manuscripts. Inspired by the beautiful works found in old palaces, mosques and works of art during the Ottoman era, we have taken parts of these beautiful patterns and embroidered the detail onto our Tehzip Abaya honouring this art from.
The embroidery features on the back and side pockets of the garment and to accentuate the Abaya, the handmade fabric buttons feature delicate embroidery too. The cuffs host a lace called Maysouri giving a slight shimmer that compliments the overall look.
